Remembering Summer: Jacob’s Birthday

As the weather turns cold I find myself thinking back over the summer and all the great things we did. I then go back through my blog and find that I didn’t really write about most of them. I would take a picture of the day, and share it. Maybe a collage with 4 or 5 pictures. Today I will start my series of posts where I go back and write about some of the summers more memorable events.

Today we look back at Jacob’s 7th birthday(POD: Jacob Turns 7). We had a Phineas and Ferb party at Nan’s party room with all his classmates. He was so excited to invite all his friends. It’s also the first parents free party we’ve had for our little guy.

The decorations looked amazing.

There was Games.

Musical chairs was played to the songs from the show.

So was Hot Present. At least I think that’s what this game was called.  The kids passed around the present when the music stopped who every was holding it unwrapped a layer of wrapping paper. Whoever unwrapped the last layer got to keep it. The prize was a Phineas and Ferb figurine set. The kids really seemed to like the games.

It was fun watching all the kids play the games, I wonder how many more of Jacob’s party will they let us organize the games.

We even had a Phineas and Ferb pinata, filled with treats.

It wouldn’t a party with without lots of great Food. From the veggie tray to the the Taco dip, Melissa did a wonderful job putting it all together.

We had special Phineas and Ferb Cup Cakes.

And a Phineas and Ferb Cake.

And of course presents:

And of course when it was time to go home, we had loot bags for all the kids.
