Desktop Software:

- Thunderbird – Open source Email client from the folks at Mozilla
- 7-Zip – Archive Manager
- Pidgin – Open source Multi-Protocol chat client, to all your friends in one
- Digsby – Pretty Multi-Protocol chat program that supports social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
- Live Mesh – Application for Syncing files to multiple computers and a central server over the internet. With the added benefit of a Remote Desktop between computers in the Mesh
- Postbox – Commercial Email client based on Thunderbird (Post)
- Evernote – Connected notebook (Post)
