POD: First Juices box

Posted on May 8, 2011Categories:Family, Fatherhood, Picture of the Day

Today was mothers day, so because Jacob said that you have orange juices on Mothers Day we picked some up. So during our Mothers day brunch I poured Violet a glass of watered down juice. It’s the first time we’ve given her juice, so we were curious to see how she’d react: ‘Yucky’ was her …

POD: Big Girl Bed

Posted on May 7, 2011Categories:Family, Fatherhood, Picture of the Day

Today was quite a day and as always seems to happen on days where I have the perfect picture of the day, I end the day with 2 or 3 pictures that I would be more than happy to use as my picture of the day. Usually I choose one and share the other as …

POD Happy Birthday, To Me!

Posted on May 5, 2011Categories:Family, Fatherhood, Picture of the Day

Today I turned 34, so we had a nice family dinner with a home made Ice cream cake for desert. Melissa and Jacob did an excellent job with the cake. It’s nice to know that Ice Cream cakes are a treat Violet wont have to miss out on because of her allergies.

Today’s picture is of Jacob and his Nan. I snapped it while he was talking to my mommy about Blastball. It was such a cute moment I thought I should capture it.

POD: Blastball

Posted on May 3, 2011Categories:Family, Fatherhood, Picture of the Day

Today Jacob was supposed to start Blastball, but the rain kept it from happening. We did get his uniform though. He looks like such a little boy. He’s next scheduled game is this Saturday, weather permitting I’ll post more photos then.

POD: Choosing a Reward

Posted on April 27, 2011Categories:Family, Fatherhood, Picture of the Day

Today after school I took Jacob to Mastermind Toys to pick out his reward for going to bed on time without a fight for 14 nights in a row. He was allowed to choose one playmobil that was under $20. It was not an easy decision for him. But after much debate and explaining which …

POD: Looking under the Cover

Posted on April 26, 2011Categories:Family, Fatherhood, Picture of the Day

After Violet’s little incident this weekend her car seat cover needed a cleaning. So we pulled it off and washed it, today while looking at her seat, I was struck by how much of it is just Styrofoam… I guess that’s why they have an expiry date and are good for only one accident.

POD: Morning in the Park

Posted on April 25, 2011Categories:Family, Fatherhood, Picture of the Day

Today was a rare Monday that found both Melissa and me home. We were hoping to do more than just house work, but with rain forecasted for the afternoon it didn’t look good. So in the morning we packed up Jacobs T-Ball stuff and some soccer balls and headed to the big park. Jacob tried …

Today’s picture is from our families Easter Egg hunt this morning. Both Jacob and Violet got really into it. So much so they discussed strategies for finding all the eggs.
